Current Issues with Deliveries
December is always a challenging time of year for courier companies but this year the problems have been made much worse with the weather and the recent train and postal strikes. The effect has meant that courier company can no longer guarantee next day delivery.
Only recently DPD cancelled all collections from clients as they just couldn’t handle the backlog of parcels.
What does this mean for our customers?
- Current Next Day deliveries are NOT guaranteed. They will be put on a next day delivery to ensure you have priority over 2-3 days services but deliveries are expected to take an extra day or two.
- We will be introducing deliveries by UPS, we have found their services to be more reliable but as always this comes with a higher cost which we have to pass on. Again next day deliveries aren’t guaranteed but your chances of getting an order next day are much greater in our opinion. Please contact us by phone on 01329-835500 if you wish to place an order for delivery by UPS.
- We strongly advise you ensure you have sufficient stock on hand at this time.
We cannot offer refunds on delivery charges for any delayed deliveries.
